summer 24, I did an internship at Harbor Picture Company, a production and post studio. I worked as a CG intern. For the intern project, we were assigned to create a short clip that showcased the Harbor “H.” The brief was very broad, and we were given complete freedom in execution.
I decided to create a Grand Central-inspired underground environment.
I was responsible for modeling the 'H' and some minor props. The rest of the assets are from Quixel's Megascans library, and the train is from the Unreal Marketplace. I handled everything else. For this project, I used Maya for animation and building the scene, Substance Painter for texturing, and Unreal Engine for previs.
Luke, a comp artist at Harbor, composited this piece for me.
If you'd like more details on my process and everything that went into creating this piece, please check out my Rookies submission.
